Damn....Glad it played out how it did and your boy is OK. Teach them to LOOK when in the outdoors...It was Jbum that got bit out in Arizona I think, IIRC it took 3 anti-venom injections at 35K a piece...That's a nice house....

nothing can be done for a snake bite other than to compression wrap the area and to slowly and calmly get to an emergency room faster than a mother ****er

glad your boy is ok and nice stick work yourself brother
This advise is WRONG, DO NOT USE A COMPRESSION WRAP.
Keep patient calm
Loose sterile dressing
Keep bite below level of heart
Transport to medical care

Here's my advice as a Firefighter/Paramedic:

Snake bite kits are a farce. There is no "sucking the venom out" once it is injected. Also, I would advise against the tourniquet. Your best bet is to remain calm, and take the victim as quickly as possible to the nearest hospital and if at all possible, identify the snake that caused the injury to be able to better match an anti-venom for the patient.

Thank the Lord that he is ok! You will find during the years that your guys grow up, your hair if you still have it will turn gray..Don't ask how I know mine is white...
