But the point is it would NOT be law. An EO, and an EA even moreso, is very limited in scope. Congress has just allowed presidents to abuse them as we saw with republicans and Obama's illegal amnesty. It took the courts to stop it, or at least slow it down, as republicans have continued to fund it.

Congress has every bit of say in it, and they can shut it down right now with the power of the purse. They could immediately stop the funding of these two hundred extra agents, and then they can turn around and defund and shut down the entire ATF.

Short answer is yes. Basically if you sell a gun on here now you're risking life in prison.

Only the people that are selling used guns for more than new guns have to worry. If you read it it states that they have to prove you are making money and/or earning a living selling guns.

Other than changing law so that only FFL dealers can set up at a gun show (there were some private parties that would rent booths to sell off collections in desperate times, hence part of the the "gun show loophole" myth since they didn't have to run backrounds because they weren't dealers) the Executive action really doesn't change the current laws for private parties unless you have a trust, then you're getting butt-F&($ed if you buy another NFA item since everyone on your trust now has to submit photos and fingerprints for background check when you apply for a new stamp

And really EA's and EO's are not Laws to the people, only policies to government agencies. Of course try explaining that to the police that arrest you or the 12 citizens that judge you based on a federal DA's smooth talking that don't understand law
