Sounds like they are really pushing the Kali thing...One piece of advice, from someone who has been SCREWED OVER once in the Private Sector and once in the Public Sector--Get ALL their Promises IN WRITING--Managers sometimes have very short memories when it comes to situations like this--Good Luck!....mikey357

I doubt they would pay thousands in relo, and then **** can me, and on top of that have to fork over severance pay. And severance pay in Cali can be nasty for the employer (they don't like big business too much). But you never know. Anyway, I'm leaning away from the Cali **** more and more. I only know like 4 people out there, all my **** here is paid for and all my family is here. Now they're saying we may not know until fall of 2015. If Cali is it, the finger to the company may be it too. I've had other job offers in the Atlanta area in recent months that I turned down. If worst comes to worst, I can go crawling back to one of them.

The things that I regret most in life are the things I didn't do. If you're good at your profession and you treat people fairly then you'll do well wherever you are. Don't let geography get in your way.

If I had to choose between moving to Atlanta and moving to Irvine, CA you'd have to put me on suicide watch.

Good luck to you, it sounds like you've got the right mindset with "give it a year and see". :thumb:

it really is like leaving the country. they have a law and tax for anything. water bill is 200 min. and that was 15 years ago. on the good side is some of the most beautiful countryside and weather. good luck. told my wife i wouldn't want to go back, but wouldn't have missed it either.
