So the AK-47 is pre-historic and outdated for battle?

Had one, hated it. Couldn't SBR it the way I wanted to because the serial number was in the wrong place. Got rid of it and picked up a C39 milled AK pistol, was going to SBR it but the fact that AKs don't suppress for **** led me to dump it and start a 300 BLK SBR instead.

So technically, you don't argue the platform with validity as much as you prefer the ability to have a stamp on it? Makes sense. So when are we going to do this?

I understand. Haven't gotten into suppressors yet

Are you talking free handed? 300 yards with 556 can be done free handed but it isn't boringly easy. At least not for me it isn't. Either way my point was to say that if I'm shooting longer than mid range I would rather use a larger caliber than 556.

Which brings me to the next question regarding this thread...Are we comparing these rifles for the range or for combat? Since we are to the point of shoveling dirt over them I'm assuming we are talking combat scenarios.

200 with my heavy as AR was hit after hit at ranges from 50yards to 250 in standing and kneeling positions, around 300 it got difficult, but the ga arms 223 was really crappy slow stuff

Technically I never said I had any problem with AKs period. Several times in this thread I have said I like AKs. You just got your panties in a wad because I like ARs more.

I don't have a problem that you prefer unreliability but it just makes me sad for you. BTW, Frank just ordered 2500 more labels. Yall should have them in a day or two.

250 yards free handed is very good if the target isn't an elephant. :) Even with good optics.

I killed a running deer free handed at 200+ yards one time with my heavy ass Browning .270 but I admit I got lucky...I probably could not make that shot again in 10 tries.

Some of us are listening. Please keep talking. I'm almost convinced I need an AR.

When I start having reliability issues I'll be sure to give you a call.
