I hope it just survives… if it does, it gets auctioned off for kids cancer research… I won’t see it againWow, that is beautiful.
Sooo, when is it gonna be in the classifieds?
Oh I hear ya, hadn’t thought about that. Good luck, but if it doesn’t make it, it’s for a good cause.I hope it just survives… if it does, it gets auctioned off for kids cancer research… I won’t see it again
Walter Sorrels in too ?I was asked to participate in Last Blade Standing. 64 smiths were invited to submit and the testing/judging will be on YouTube, IG, etc.
It is to raise money for pediatric cancer research but will be a single elimination bracket with a barrel chop, a pool noodle slice, and a 30 degree bend in both direcations. That is a scary set of tests to go through once… much less multiple times. I have no idea how I will do but this is my submission and I will try to post links as they come available.
Parameters required a 19-22” blade, guard, pommel, and non-ferrous element. (in my case, twisted silver wire wrap)
i have never made a true sword before, never done a fuller, never done a cross guard, never peened a pommel, and certainly never had the crap beaten out of a blade… I can’t bear to watch!View attachment 5164777View attachment 5164778View attachment 5164779View attachment 5164780
