So, whats your job?????

I was self employed with rental properties for 11 years until 2008 and the economy went totally to crap, tenants stopped paying rent and trashed the properties. Cost me all my savings to get them livable enough to sell then lost my a$$ selling them. Now, I'm a "security enforcement officer" LOL! What a joke! :pound: I'm more like a shipping & receiving clerk with a uniform and a badge that doesn't mean anything.

I'm a broke ass Farmer, raising peanuts, corn, cotton, livestock, timber, but lately I've been looking for my share of the "stimulus money" that everyone except me got. Let me know if ya'll got my check by mistake, I'll come pick it up !

I work with Emergency Management Agencies from the federal level down to the county and city level. I help with the worst case scenario plans for asset management and deployment. Like you, if it goes to crap I'm on my way no matter the time or day. Been doing this for the past few years. An old Army buddy that moved to my town after he retired from a private security company got me into it after the development crash. He does freelance training for the same folks about terrorist attacks

I also own a development company that's been sitting for four years. I keep the equipment ready to crank back up when ever the economy gets good enough again. That is if I decide to stop working with the EMA's, I like what I do. Most of the folks are prior service and no nonsense, real people that are straight forward. Never mind the cool crap I do with these guys. I just went out to international waters with a client and shot floating targets with a Barrett on Monday. Never got to do that kind of thing while developing subdivisions and strip malls.

You ever try selling hunts on some of that land you got? I love hunting on a bean field

I have leased for years all hunting (except family) rights to several rich/crooked ass lawyers out of Florida ( yep, I call'em that to their face too ), they in turn furnish me a condo and fishing boat in Fla. when I have the urge. It works out good for both parties and they're really OK people.

Sr. Project Manager for an architecture firm...and while I am happy that I still have a job in this market, I can't say that the past 18 years have been time well spent.

When/if we ever get back to something better as far as the economy, I'd like to move over to the municipal side of the fence as a building inspector or plans reviewer - just so I can dish out what I had to take from those people all these years! LOL - Guess if I can't beat them...I should join them.
