Yeah, I only push so hard because I am usually on my streetbike and am trying not to wad it up... I crashed the 1198 on Road Atlanta once, and it sucked. LOL

Road A is really geared towards literbikes... my 675 with my fat ass on it was only getting into the low 140's, while my CBR1000rr I was breaking 170mph on the back straight... The extra 40hp helps on that track.

When John Force was asked about what the launch feels like, back when they were slower. He described it as such: Imagine sitting at a stop light and being rear ended by an eighteen wheeler doing 100mph. The rush of that kind of acceleration is worth about a million rides at Disney Land.
Within a few years I intend to have my "street" bike doing numbers like my Funny Bike. My goal is to see 200mph in the 1/4 before I hang it up.

I enjoy some light cornering, but not ones I can't see what's coming around the bend.

I damn near got taken out by a brain aneurysm while standing in a parking lot talking to a security guard. Put danger in a whole new perspective. I could die at any moment. I'm going to live while I can.

That said, I would love to take a few trips down the strip. Sounds fun.

Ooof I can imagine. Funny enough, when I was really into racing, I had a GSXR1000 street bike and a GSXR1000 race bike. The two bikes were set up so differently that it was like being on a completely different machine. I usually crashed a lot, so there's that. When I moved down to racing SV650's, I stopped crashing as hard. It's great having a dedicated bike that you're okay wadding. You can get a relatively competitive bike for $3000-5000 already set up. I'd be heartbroken wadding a street bike, so I understand the caution.

Yeah, for a couple years I had a TL1000R track bike, set up for track only and it was piece of mind not worrying about it getting broken...
 
Yeah I crashed a lot. I don't even know how many times anymore. It was fun though. One of these days when my income is more stable... track days are a rich man's leisure.
