I do. Never know when trouble will show up. 2 months ago we showed up for Sunday morning service. Unlocked the fellowship hall and there was a young black man setting at a table. He said he was kicked out of his parents house and was hungry and needed a place to sleep. He pushed out a window a/c unit. He had already fixed the a/c unit and apologized and left. Could've got sketchy but we were ready. Pastor chose let him walk away
Yep. Always carry. Always. Never know when you'll need it.We had a guy show up one wednesday night
I was on the main staff at a good size church and the childcare called on the walkie talkie and asked me to come down ASAP
Guy that no one recognised was just wandering around
He's in he gym shooting baskets while the childcare workers are playing games with the kids
I talk to him and discover he doesnt have any kids here and has never been here before
So I tell him he cant stay in gym and invite him upstairs for dinner
He declines and walks into the hallway picks up a tennis racquet and starts hitting a tennis ball into the Sheetrock in the hallway
I tell him he's gotta leave. He says ok and walks off. I follow at a distance and see him go upstairs into the kitchen and start chatting with the people washing dishes like he's old friends.
I again tell him he's gotta leave and call all the Maint staff on the radio and tell em to get to the kitchen right now to help me escort this guy to his car
He finally leaves
Never saw him again
Griffin is the next clayton.
