So who would buy an R51???

Nope, there are plenty of value pistols out there to buy that have no issues than to throw away good money at any Remington.
I would put it in a sock and hit someone with it. Much more reliable that way.
Luckily, I talked my father in law out of getting one of the first ones. No way in hell I would trust a Remington pistol.......
I would consider buying one.
What's the warranty like?
I'd have to research what kind of reviews the NEW generation of R51's are getting from ACTUAL BUYERS and USERS.
I like the idea of a gun that fits my hand perfectly, and is slim, and light, and easy to carry.
7+1 capacity of 9mm , especially 9mm +P or even +P+ law enforcement ammo, is enough for me.
I don't need any manual safety if the gun has a grip safety AND a reasonable trigger pull, not a typical hair-trigger of a single action auto when cocked.

If I had unlimited funds...sure I'd buy one and try it out...interesting design...but with my wallet - no thanks, I can't afford to throw away $300
