So you want to build a Coca-Cola Gun safe

You could very well have yourself a lucrative business building these "hidden type safes" they seem pretty popular in different variations from what I've seen. Pretty cool and nice work building the safe!

I have thought about it. It comes down to what people are willing to pay. The biggest cost would be the machine and labor. If people are willing to pay $money$ I am all for it. If you know anyone in the market let me know. What do you feel they are worth?

The question you must ask yourself is... Not so much as to how much I feel it's worth, rather what do you feel your time and labor is worth? What quality of materials are used and how much does it cost for those said materials. If you're putting in a great deal of time and effort into making them and they exhibit high quality woods, metals, lighting, parts etc... You can price them however you wish! Afterall we do live in a free market economy. Support local American business and creativity. That's what I say.

I hear you. I don't think people are willing to pay $1000 to $1500 for these things. As far as quality goes, if I am doing it, it's not going to be cheap junk, not worth making in my book. Even if I could drop my build time to 10 hours, material cost to $500, and sell for $1000, I am not sure its worth my time. If I sold for $1500 sure worth it at that point.

How secure are they? Just the basic OEM lock, or additional security? I suppose most of the security is in them not looking like a gun safe, but someone could break into it looking for the money and get a huge bonus....
