I have seen some types of lithium batteries offer over 5000 deep cycles. They are expensive but would offer 10 to 15 years of daily use. Plus they lose much less charge when not in use.

Yes, like anything, how deep are your pockets!!
If I was going off grid relying solely on a large solar set-up I would definitely invest in the best batteries

Money is always a factor in my mind. Right now I come a lot closer to justifing something like you have as opposed to something several times the cost.
