Why would they suspect someone, or go after them. Were they ratted out? Anonymous call? Or what? Seems like a lone guy working in his garage would be small fish.

I guess it is like anything else. If you are carrying a couple keys of coke in the trunk, make sure the tail lights work. He was probably investigated for something else or just could not keep his mouth shut.

They busted a guy here in Madison County for unregistered suppressors a few months back. From reading the news report it looks like he was doing all kinds of stupid **** and had several "alphabet agencies" watching him.
