Some people are beyond helping

5 weeks ago we invited a young couple (28 and 29) to move in with us for a few months to help them get on their feet. They both have horrible backgrounds, but we hoped that we could offer them a stable environment and good advise. We have had many issues with them especially the woman. I am certain she is bi-polar because my wife who is bi-polar agreed with me. After many nights of discussions and praying, we had to to tell them they were no longer welcomed to our home as of tonight. I hate we had to choose this course of action, but they were bringing too much strife into our lives. I feel bad for them, and feel a little guilty right now. I fear that they will be on a downward spiral now, but there is only so much we can take. Your thoughts?

Give it up to God. People got to make there own choices. I am bad about this as well. Trying to help someone because you feel sorry for them is not a good path. I'm an old drunk wants to be sober for another 12 years. I understand.

Two healthy adults that cannot make it on their own In America have serious problems. Problems the likes that you cannot fix without the kind of tough love that is not possible in today’s world.
Maybe they will learn from the hard lessons that the street teaches them.

Knowing when to walk away, or in your case, asked them to leave is never an easy decision. At some point there is nothing you can do and the situation must change. You did your best. Don't feel bad, pray for them and walk them to the door.

We took in a friend of my sons years ago for a year (he was raised rough ) he was good here and never a problem but after he left he went south and now 15 years later hasn’t overcome. I mentioned this only to say that all you can do is try. Few rise above their raising

I have some experience in this department, mine didn’t try to harm anyone but would take anything tat want securely fastened down. I later learned that they won’t hold them in my county for just theft, they had to be a danger to others

Waaaaaa?

So theft crimes are no longet crimes in Dallas?
