Oh, I fully believe they didn't want anyone in power there at the compound alive to refute or disprove government claims. Otherwise, the ATF wouldn't have called in the FBI, other LE agencies, enlisted the US Army to provide "intelligence" and logistical support OR had that Ruby Ridge murdering sniper, Lon Horiuchi be there. The thing we all need to remember is that this happened in 1993. It wasn't long afterwards that the 1994 AWB was passed. THAT'S the reason those people were killed, IMO.

The feds had a search warrant for the property looking for the illegal machine guns and Hand grenades, so if they had arrested Koresh on one of his trips into town, how would the subsequent search warrant's execution go? (to 'execute' a warrant means to carry it out and do what the judge has ordered).

Do you think Koresh would use his "one phone call" to talk to his lieutenants in this heavily armed compound and say:

"Hey guys, the federal government's agents, the henchmen of this evil satanic United States government we all hate, is going to come over there and destroy our JewChristian church... so make sure to cooperate with them fully."
