I carried two weekends ago, and knew that the reciprocity had passed, but about kicked myself for not checking into the specifics like shall inform, signs carrying weight, etc...

If contacted by a LEO, you must disclose you have a concealed weapon on your person. Including traffic stops. Best just to hand the officer your license and WCL and do not use the term "gun", say I have a concealed weapon.

Firearm Permit Reciprocity
Legislation passed in 1996 allowed Georgia to grant the privilege of firearm reciprocity to citizens of states which recognize Georgia firearms permits.

Georgia currently reciprocates in recognizing firearms licenses with the following states:

Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

As always, Georgia firearms permit holders should familiarize themselves with the individual requirements and limitations on firearms permits in any of the reciprocating states where they wish to exercise their rights under this reciprocity program.
