Need advice from Spam experts. Got a few cans with a best by date of 7/17. How long is spam good for past the best by date? And dont judge me. They were in the back of the cupboard. Im cooking/eating it anyways. Just want to know for future survival reference. I’ll report if I actually get the spam sperts too.

Had it this morning fried with onions and cheese in scrambled eggs.

I've eaten some that were a couple years past the date, couldn't tell any difference

No matter what the date, if the can is swollen, toss it.

Otherwise, do as mentioned above.

It will be enjoyable for 5 to 10 years and edible for 20 plus.

Your safe HC, It's always good for a couple years or so past date...if you don't want it send it to me, I'll eat every bite of it ..... I keep 8 or 10 cans around all the time..

As long as the can is not bulged out I would eat it.
