Special Shooting Day

This is a tradition that has become obsolete. My dad who retired from the state patrol started shooting with me and my brothers when we turned six. It was his tradition that we received our first rifle on our 6th birthday. We received our first pistol at 10. We shot every weekend he was off and learned about safety and the value of the second amendment. We have all grown up to follow in his footsteps. I have been blessed with two beautiful daughters and a son. God further blessed me with a beautiful wife who is also a LEO. I can’t wait to have the same memories with my kids that I have with my father. My dad is 71 now and my brothers and I still go shooting with him as much as we can. We spend time in the winter reloading which is something I enjoy while I’m not as knowledgeable about it as he is. Great post to you sir! I will admit, I became a little emotional. Happy birthday to you both!
