I do a great job of killing them around my yard every summer/fall but this year the population exploded. They are everywhere and I am constantly killing them. Fire or spider spray does the trick

A spray bottle with Dawn dishwashing detergent and water will kill them as well - just like wasps.
Just saw this has already been posted.
Wasp stream spray and a lighter is even more fun.
I keep some alive to watch them grow as long as they arent in any immediate pathways. Honestly they are great at catching largers bugs which is nice.
Same here..they help on the mosquito population some.

I wouldn't even waste my time killing them. They're here to stay. I saw hundreds, if not more, walking through the woods a couple weekends ago.
Yeah, as an invasive species it could be worse. The birds love them and they do catch a lot of other bugs.
That being said, I wasn't happy to almost get one in the face this morning when I came close to walking through the web one spun across my front door. Now I know why the Amazon stuff was all at the bottom of the steps.

Only seen one here as of last year. In the last few weeks have seen several 😕
Yes the woods are full of these joro spiders especially on northeast side state.now showing up in SC
