What if you mark it “sold” the same day you list it… and then it falls through that same day… does it let you reopen it the same day or does it make you wait the 72 hours?

Yes, reopening it is not a new listing.
It lets you reopen the same day and it puts it right back in the same place it was in line. It is quite simple, mark it as sold and deal falls through, click the reopen button and you are pretty much right back where you started. I have honestly never got the point of marking it SPM. If it is sold pending meet then I have no interest in knowing about it. Just mark it sold. If it falls through and you reopen it then I might be interested.
