Spring squirrel season in GA?

It's squirrel season everyday on my property. I kill one and 6 pallbearers show up.

A fall turkey season like other states would be detrimental to our turkey population. Most fall seasons allow the harvest of hens, fall/winter flocks are usually slam full of young birds. An already struggling turkey population doesn't need another season of hunting them.

A lot more people hunt sq than you may think. I see folks parked where I wanted to drop the tailgate often. So, if you spearheaded a statewide sq hunters group you may get enough support.

Me, I want a crow season extended until after turkeys are done nesting.

Man they’ve already got warbles by spring in GA. DNR concerned about wanton waste and I don’t blame them. By spring it’s best to wait until there’s been a couple of freezes. Warm weather = poor time to hunt squirrel for food.

I've never seen warbles in Spring. The season opens in August, now. Very few I've seen at that time have warbles.

What I have seen is sq will tear up your sweet corn.
