I'm a sucker for a nicely blued 1911, but I buy stainless every time. Some of the fancier finishes (Gen4, Duty Treat, etc.) are nice and all, but all of my 1911s and revolvers (except for my Colt SAA) are stainless and I'm happy as can be haha
I noticed Springfield dropped the "Armory Kote" moniker and are now just referring to their finish as Cerakoted

yes. Stainless belongs on wheel guns. 1911s can be blue or parkerized. Maybe even nickel if is is a factory nickel Colt.My S&W 500 is stainless, does that make you happier?NWSharpshooter
