Imbel no longer makes their 1911s. They are all USA made now. I suspect S&W is making them for them.

I'm unsure how to feel about that. My comment was tongue in cheek. Imbel makes some good stuff.

Not DA it isn't. That's still ruled by CZ, who does a passable job with SA only as well, and it's trivial to convert modes.

But really, a polymer, safety, hammer-fired gun? Doesn't that sound like the CZ P07 and so forth? Just without the 42 years of design improvements?

Not interesting to me personally, but whatever.

I told you it was going to say grip zone on it. The only thing I can figure about the grip zone is someone high up in the company came up with the grip zone thing and everyone else in the company is too afraid to challenge the stupidity of the design. I just hope when we get more pics it says "hammer zone" by the hammer and "slide zone" on the slide. Let's name all the things.
