Steel Challenge RBGC

I am thinking about shooting Steel Challenge match at RBGC. I have a 1911 with a 22lr Marvel upper and red dot. I just ordered 5 mags. Are there many here shooting this match?

There's a number of RBGC members and match frequenters in these forums.

Rimfire is the best for Steel Challenge. Pro tip get some hand warmers to keep with your mags and ammo when shooting rimfire in the cold.

I haven’t shot SC in a long time. I am going to shoot it in Jan.
I am going to shoot 9mm irons. If I didn’t need the practice I would have shot 22.
I have always wanted a marvel but never seen one in person, which model did you get?

Steel Challenge is a lot of fun to shoot, and RBGC does a great job putting it on. I only wish it wasn't always on Sundays during church hours.
