Stevens 320 pump ( China )

I've got no idea on my buddy's fingernail. THat does look odd.

Anyhow, we shot this gun, and my similar Mossberg 500 in 20 gauge, same 22 inch barrel length,
the Sunday after Christmas. Both guns worked well. The Stevens choke tubes are fully interchangeable with my Mossberg ones (and Weatherby, and Winchester, and Browning Invecta also, I hear).

Still only used 2.75" chamber shells. No 3" magnum shotshells. though both guns are made for them.

Shorter. Must've been trimmed, broken off, or chewed off at some point.

Eventually I need to get something in 20 gauge. I had the security model with 18" barrel and ugly pistol grip stock back when I first joined here. It was fine for the $100.00 I paid for it ( used) . But every time I fired it the foregrip would slam to the rear unless I was holding it really tight. Not a big deal I guess just hard to get used to.
It was the other shotgun I have owned that had an episode of a live round springing back out of the mag tube and on top of the shell lifter rendering it completely inoperable. I had to take the barrel off and the mag tube cap to fix it. This same thing happened to me very recently with a Hatsan Escort Slugger that I bought new from Gunbroker. Only new in the box shotgun I ever owned. Anyway it just confirmed my opinion that my Mossberg 500A and my Maverick 88 are superior in their operating system. By that I mean that the shell lifter stays in the up position out of the way until it needs to move downward.

My son bought this as his first shotgun. Its been to the bird field a few times and been 100% reliable. Be careful to keep in cleaned and lubed as there was a little surface rust on it but it wiped right off.
