Most kids I was in school with in the early 90s didn’t know how to drive a stick shift and the ability to read and write cursive is about as useful as the ability to pack wagon axle bearings.
I can drive a stick and read and write cursive. Those skill’s unfortunately are totally worthless and more than likely will never be used again.
There is zero logical reason to do either other than personal pleasure of doing something “old school.”
At least a stick can be fun to drive. Cursive belongs on the trash heap of history though along with shorthand and modem strings.
If you drive it right, a manual can out perform an auto in gas mileage. Plus they are a heck of a lot less to repair than automatics - Clutch replacement is hella cheaper than auto trans rebuild !
Who told us cursive was a good idea, pen manufacturers?
Now...when you write words, you want to be careful to never lift up your pen during a word...just keep writing between each letter...this is the way...good.
