Your plea is very funny. I know I'm laughing.
But:
1) A 308 is too much gun for a child
2) No further comment.
I have a Pakistani Navy converted to 7.62 NATO M1 Garand. It's a Springfield. The barrel has been restamped 7.62 NATO on the outer chamber area, clearly visable when the op rod is locked rearward. It has the white plastic spacer used for the shorter 7.62x51 round, inserted in the enbloc area. I think it is mentioned in one of the Canfield books. It shoots great, but is pricey due to pakistani conversion.
Still lookong? I have a Navy 7.62 Mod 0. This is really more of a collectable piece, but has a like new barrel correct for the 3 mil SN. Modification done by H&R with a grooved insert. One of the rarest of all Garand variants. Let me know if interested.
