Stinkin' Gas Can Spouts!

AH, so I'm not the only who hates these things. I had one of the "old style" cans and some twerp stole it from my carport, forcing me to "upgrade"

Unfortunately, our government has made it illegal to purchase the gas cans (and spouts) of old. I finally broke down & ordered some NATO "jerry" cans. Yes, they are still available, but now labeled "water only". The offroad crowd likes them because they are durable, self-venting, and don't leak. This company is importing new ones from the NATO supplier. Not cheap, but the best can out there. They also have the USGI plastic cans.

Don't forget to order a self-venting spout!

You can find a very simple and nice gas jug at your local speed shop. I think mine holds 5 gallons but it's easier to fill and use than any other I've tried (simply screw the huge top off) the brand of mine is VP Racing.

Not sure if these are legal in your area but I have no problem where I am.

Hmm safe for racing gas but not for low octane corn squeezins'? Anyway, they work great) but I don't advise breaking the law...........

Take the spout off, turn the spout upside down, break the stopper seal off(round disk like a sink stopper). did this by accident and it works fine. You don't have to use the lever either. Just remember it will run out just like the old cans if you turn it over.
