I wouldn't store primers or powder in any room that isn't insulated or climate controlled. Want to keep humidity down. Lots of attached garages are not insulated. Temperature swings in uninsulated rooms causes condensation to form on things.

Sealed containers with desicant probably work well, but I am paranoid myself.

I have kept them and currently do in my safe in the garage but it has a humidity rod thing in it just trying to free up some space in the safe
I wouldn’t store a large number of primers or any powder in a safe. Any ignition of the powder with the door closed would be unlikely but unforgettable.
