Storytime! Your best LGS deals

I got this norinco 213 from Arrowhead Pawn for 85 bucks with no mag. Around 2012, I think.....I found a mag for it in their loose mag box, and they gave it to me for free....I know it’s only a 200 dollar gun, but I used it to hone my custom skills...I did a lot to it, but other than paint, I added zero to the cost....it’s a fun gun to shoot, quite accurate too.

I'm constantly baffled by the stories I read online about people finding crazy good deals at their LGS or pawnshop, especially on rare pieces. Up to this point, I've considered this kind of event a thing of myth and legend. Prove me otherwise!

Last year at sharpshooters I Roswell. Mint smith model 34 4” blued. Would possibly pass as unfired. 399 plus tax. No buddy connection. Just priced that way on the shelf. Almost exact same deal about 10 years earlier. A Beretta model 87 target 22. $300 with box and three magazines.
Best one off all time when I worked for a gun shop at gun shows in the the late 80’s and I was allowed to trade one gun per weekend of mine through the shop and keep the trade. I had a browning pump 22 that was in decent condition that I put on the table. Had a guy trade me a M1A NM for it bunch of magazines and some ammo for it. Worth nearly 2000 at the time. I would have sold the browning for 250 or maybe less.

In the late 90's I bought a Daewoo K2 sidefolder for $400 out the door from a pawn shop. It was missing the magazine. It was one of the most accurate 5.56 rifles I have ever shot. I was offered stupid money for it and sold it.
