Straight pull rifles

I see where Savage is coming out with a straight pull rifle. Do any of you own one or have any experience with them.

I own a few. They're neat. I think they're unnecessary. But I'm a sucker for neat, over-engineered rifles. Hopefully the Savage has a good response.

Love my straight pulls...Swiss, not Savage.

The Savage looks super cool to me but seems like a lot more moving parts with the bearings and whatnot.

I have a threaded Browning T-bolt and love it.

Straight pull rifles do not have to be complicated. The steyr M95, ross, and k31 rifles are all simple. Straight pull rifles are way more popular in Europe than here in the USA.
