Me and my wife took a cruise, best bang for your buck in my opinion. And with 2k to spend you could have a really good tine

My wife and I went to Hawaii, longest 12 hours of my life!!

Charleston is 6 hours away. Key West is farther away, and more expensive. Given the budget.... More options for hotels in/around Charleston.

Regrettably I have not made the pilgrimage to "the holy land" yet. LoL that's a looong drive.

Ahh, she wouldn't shoot ya! My wife actually did buy me an ar-10 for a wedding gift.....no joke! But seriously, we went to Disney and had a ball. We stayed at the animal kingdom with all sorts of wildlife right under our balcony.....
