Suppressed 30-30?

10/4, I need to take a closer look at the lengths etc. How much length would be needed to successfully thread it 1/2x28?

1/2 inch is ideal with no obstructions.

I've got this strange urge to want to suppress a 30-30. There are a few pictures and a couple videos on the web from where folks have done it before, but I wanted to see if anyone here has done it.

I've got a 336 that is well used and abused. I could go two ways, either just thread and get suppressor on it, or thread/refinish etc. The beauty of this gun is that it's already got its marks and I don't mind it riding in the floor board etc.

From what I gather, it would need to be threaded 1/2x28 due to barrel diamter, and the Magazine tube would either have to be trimmed or shortened.

I have suppressed mine. Would be happy to discuss

I'd rather have a .44 Mag or .45 LC lever action rifle with a fast-twist barrel that can stabilize 300-350 grain bullets.
THAT would be a great host weapon for a silencer.
Shooting subsonic would give you twice the energy as the .300 Blackout.
Shooting supersonic would have the horsepower to take down any animal in the Southeast that you can hit in the vitals out to 150 yards or whatever point accuracy drops off because of the rainbow trajectory.

I cut down my 336 and threaded it to 5/8*24 to use my Dobbs ARC 30. It is stupid quiet. And really cool looking too.

Cut mine down as well. Only holds 5 rounds now. Added the XS Rail and New front sight.
