As long as you are shooting sub sonic rounds, it's literally identical to putting the can on a .45ACP, maybe just with a heavier bullet.

Oh! Hey there, sorry i missed this earlier. But yeah, I've shot. 45-70 subs through my Octane, Obsidian and Lane Scorpion 458 with no issues.

By the way, Rugged went on record to say you can shoot full commercial loads through the Obsidian with a 16" or longer barrel. (.450 Bushmaster too)
