Yep. Just uses standard AK-47 mags. It was designed for the magpul AK PMAG. So I just use those as I have had zero malfunctions with them. Surplus AK mags are hit or miss anyway. It wont run with yugo bolt hold open mags as the bolt drags. Magpul AK PMAGs are cheap so there is not reason to not use those to get 100% reliability.Ah fun! Looks like a HK91, but the curved magazine and what appears to be a short fore end had me scratching my head. Plain ol' AK mags?
