nfatalk . org put on a suppressor metering event at RHR an hour's drive north of me Saturday 08/06... it was 90 in the shade and I think the humidity was about 70% - miserable. My Smith Enterprise Wind Talker suppressor is an early Fisher can that was updated to Wind Talker specs some years ago, it has 4 baffles. We were not shooting for accuracy, they just wanted to record how each suppressor, gun, and ammunition worked together.

I am glad I made the trip, they had 3 meters set up, one was placed a meter away, the other two were on the Left & Right of the shooters head. I was the only participant with an M14, a Daewoo, and a .30 caliber Wind Talker suppressor... the testers were excited to see two rifles and a can they had never seen or tested before

Never seen a suppressed Daewoo!!
Several years ago I had a local shop (name escapes me) located off 316 outside of Winder re-thread the barrel so a Smith Enterprise DC Vortex flash hider would fit, this required the barrel to be shortened about a 1/4", they also re-crowned the barrel. They told me that pulling the barrel was a real PITA job, and that they would never do it again. That's to bad, because it runs flawlessly and it's more accurate than before.

Glad they were able to make it happen!
