I would find a good class 3 dealer. They will walk you thru the process and should have a selection of cans you can look at in the store. Ideally one that has a range so you might be able to test a few out if that's an option. But I would think if you don't know much about buying an NFA item, a good local shop might be a good option to fill in the gaps in your knowledge (along with info here and other online sources to confirm what they are saying) and walk you thru the process. Lots of knowledgable folks here, so that helps a lot.

ok, i want to suppress a ghm9....where is a good place to go try out 3 lug suppressors? any local stores you guys recommend for suppressor purchace?
Martin’s Firearms in Alpharetta typically has done 3 lug hosts, sometimes with suppressors attached. It is not a range but will give you an idea.
