Tactics - Take HD gun with you, daily

The "problem" is that a home defense gun doesn't do you any good when it's in the safe. Well, it "might" do you some good if you can get it out in time which is a very questionable thing seconds matter when you're facing a home invasion robbing crew.

Nor is it safe to keep that HD shotty / carbine out of the safe all of the time, especially when you're not home.

Most people are not going to go in and out of their gun safe multiple times a day to alternatively secure the weapon and take it out so it is ready to use on a moments' notice.

That's "the problem" today. It's not only a "real" problem but it is so well-known that a majority of American adults have decided that it's not worth the trouble, the hassle, and the potential risk to their family's safety, to even have a home defense firearm!

A safe isn't the only place to secure a HD firearm (especially considering that most "safes" are really residential security containers that won't keep anyone with any tools out of it), there are lots of options to keep a HD firearm out of sight and out of reach of kids.

Your self defense gun locked up by a cable in your car is completely useless. The times that you are ****ing with that cable locking and unlocking are the times you are most prone to an attack. And your **** is locked up. And you have no situational awareness because you are ****ing with said lock. Dumbasses.

I keep a loaded Benelli M1 in the bedroom closet and it isn’t locked up. When no one is home, the alarm is set and we have multiple big dogs loose in the house. I don’t see the need to lock it up every time I leave the house.
