Any advice on an organization I can easily join to qualify for the CMP program?Went to the Talladega marksmanship park today. They had a full rack of rack grade M1's for $650 each. However there is a one rifle per day per person limit.
Picked up a LEAD marked Winchester service grade. Took advantage of the free range coupon. Got to stretch her out to 600 yards. Had an absolute blast. If you have never been, you should plan a trip. Such an amazing facility.
ThanksThe easiest way, is to join "The Garand Collectors Association" other than that have to become a member of a Shooing club... such as " Riverbend Gun Club" You can go to CMP website, they will have a list of what all you have to do to become a member at CMP...
Wow that’s great thanks for the info.
I suppose with 175gr you don’t need to worry over the wind much?
ANyone been to tmp if they have any rack grades left? - I want to go this weekend I have my paperwork in order - I tried calling the pro shop at TMP and they didn't answer or call back I wanted to see if they had any Rack grades left. The last Rack grade I bought was from the North store years ago when Greek Garands were around $300 and tins of Greek ammo were plentiful Why didn't I buy so many more ???
