It's likely just a rogue ad, a screenshot would help tremendously in tracking it down.

Oh, and Firefox sucks. Especially as it relates to malware and phishing issues.

Been using FF for years, don't have any issues with the right add ons.

I don't get any of the ads that come with this site or any other on.

Cookie blocker lets me see plenty of paywall sites for free.

I didn't say it wasn't possible to use Firefox and never have an issue, I said it sucks on the security side and it does. The way it handles processes makes it extremely easy to exploit. Most users will probably be fine by being just a little careful, but if you do become a hack target and you're running Firefox, you might as well just hand them your wallet.
