Have pics of him last 4 years starting in November. He has always been a 10 but getting more mass every year in body and antler. Seeing him in January makes me think he made it hopefully. He was still carrying good weight in January. He must have been a real pig in early November.
Hope you get him.
Very true. I still like hunting mature bucks. The 22 was just luck....but it counts...lol. Any deer over 130 and 5+ years old is a trophy.Kind of a step down from a 22 pointer, but hey, we all have our struggles in life.
Most definitely. That one there is leaps and bounds above anything I've ever shot. I don't know that I'd be able to hold the rifle still enough to take a shot.Very true. I still like hunting mature bucks. The 22 was just luck....but it counts...lol. Any deer over 130 and 5+ years old is a trophy.
If I ever stop getting "the fever" I will quit hunting. I still get the shakes but after 36 years of hunting it is mostly after the shot. Having to make a quick decision is the worst...lol. If I can watch them a while it helps calm me a tad. Most definitely. That one there is leaps and bounds above anything I've ever shot.
