Tax stamp question

I was pretty clear when I said "if you have broken no law".

There's nothing "pretty clear" about that, considering the topic being discussed in this thread. It's is not illegal to possess an NFA weapon in Georgia if you have it registered with the feds. Georgia has not made it a crime to possess it without carrying with you proof of your federal NFA registration.

However, your registration or lack thereof is not something the cops need to determine before they arrest you. They can arrest you --although you have committed no crime -- simply because the cops don't know that you haven't committed a crime, and they suspect that you have because you didn't show your registration form.

This post is a perfect example of why the 2nd Amendment is dead letter.

Just take out anything in this post dealing with firearms and insert “freedom of speech” or 1st amendment, and imagine having the same conversation.

Imagine coming across the post “Do I need to carry my paperwork/authorization when exercising my 1st amendment rights?”

If it pleases the crown may I please use my gun now.

Please, tell me again the fairy tale about our 2nd amendment rights....
