I speak from a position of experience on MULTIPLE topics within this thread, both good and bad.

Can these things mess you up? Absolutely, there are always exceptions. But if (hypothetically) you walk into a middle school and ask the male population in said school about which teachers they thought were attractive, the vast majority would a list already in their head and would leap at the opportunity to live out their fantasies.

I work with a few early 20 somethings, and what they consider to be "dating" is mindblowing to me, which is crazy because I am not that far removed from dating myself. My parents thought our generation was sick because we were engaging in sex before marriage, now it has progressed where most couples have sex before dating. I had a young niave 21 year old girl I work with explain it to me one day. In her words, "of course you have sex on the first date. Why wouldn't you? If the sex isn't good, why would I want to waste my time dating a guy?" She was stone cold serious, and at least openly, none of her peers of similar age saw anything wrong with that statement.

An entire generation of men and women are being destroyed currently and it breaks my heart. Societal decay while already progressing has been escalating rapidly over the last 10 years, and honestly, I wonder how long we have before total collapse.

Im only 3.5 years out of the dating pool (and only 31). But what you speak is quite literally the norm and has been for at least the last 10 years. It has honestly been going on much longer than that but is now more out in the open and not so much of a risque topic as it once was.

the simple fact that you don't see it as a problem proves my point. If this was the norm from 1996 to 2008 when I was actively dating, nobody told me about it. Sure, getting laid on the first date was a thing, but it wasn't so common that it was expected.
