Absolutely: more proof that there is a difference in the genders and how they are treated. A man arrested for such behavior would be receiving a lot of "sex" in prison.
It may be normal for a lot of adolescents to have romantic and / or sexual feelings for an adult, especially someone they are around often, like a teacher. It is NOT ok for those adults to engage in sexual behavior with the adolescent.
After all the praying, mentoring, and counseling my wife and I have done with students, I have to agree with the other comment that a twelve year old girl having sex with older men is a huge red flag of abuse, often, if not always, sexual abuse. Again, girls think differently than boys / men (again, a God given difference in our genders) and most adolescent girls will have thoughts and fantasies that involve romantic love more than physical sex, even in today's hyper-sexual, easy-access porn world.
A 12 or 13 year old girl initiating sex with an older man isn't "normal" nor should it be acceptable. To end where we started: Were a man arrested for such an interaction, he'd be getting raped in prison regularly.
Gents, this is a case where temptation is not the sin. The (long term) action of the woman was the sin. For those on here you say "atta boy!", your initial reaction is not a sin, but any continued lust and defense of this woman is sinful.
Lastly, and pessimistically, her being pregnant is probably by design to delay her reporting to prison. They'll probably get an appeal and she'll never serve time. Another way the courts treat women differently.
I dont play the what if game because you can what if something to death to support your own ideologies. All these people on here trying to attack me simply because i put up a controversial point of the view that this kid made this choice on his own. He knew full well what her intentions were because they talked for months before it ever happened.
Once again, for the tenth damn time, NO ONE is condoning her actions. NO ONE is supporting what she did. Get that through yalls thick skulls.
You can take your what if and hypothetical situations elsewhere. Because double standards exist in the real world.
People here just love playing the moral high ground role and demand you see everything from their viewpoint because it is the ONLY viewpoint that is correct.
Basically speaking the general population on this site is the right winged version of liberals. You people simply cannot look at something from any other viewpoint.
It ****ing baffles me how people here think everyone should be able to own a machine gun at 18 but are incapable of making a decision based on their own wants and needs at any age before 18.
Seriously, you all come in here and bitch and moan about government overreach, but two threads over will ask daddy to govern the population harder because you dont like something.
How about everyone stop trying to interject and force your opinions and ideals on everyone else and let god sort everything out?
People come in here with a holier than thou mentality and how ****ed the world is but do absolutely nothing to change any of it. Go out there and make a difference if you are that upset with the state of society or just stfu about it and go about your day.
Maybe if everyone would stop talking and bitching about everything and just go do something about it, things would actually improve.

My skull isn't particularly thick but I think even that point is debatable. The problem is that people are championing and cheering on the boy because of some "hot for teacher" fantasy they have or have had instead of rightly recognizing that this child was the victim of prolonged sexual abuse.
So his story goes. The fact everyone is taking everything he said as factual without knowing anything other than what the news stories say is concerning. Many a people have had lives ruined be people crying wolf. (Im sure someone will come along here shortly and flame me over that opinion too)
Not saying this is the case here and what he said might be true, but theres the possibility that he put on a façade because his lawyer said he should.
Parents probably have nothing to do with his life and he leaped at the first person to show any interest/affection towards him or his life at all. Then when she cut him off three years later he lost the only person who ever seemed to give a **** about him and he went coo coo cachoo.
