Tell me about your Shield

love my shield .40. couldnt imagine doing any trigger work to mine. its already smooth and light. no problems at all with mine. digests everything. no issues with the stainless mags either. they are a little tight to begin with but ease up after use.

In love with my shield. I've tried every carry pistol there is and finally settled on the shield. Not a single issue in over 500 rounds. Trigger is perfect for me.

I've been carrying a Shield 9 for two years now. Carry it 7 days a week except for rare occasions when I carry a full size. It is slim, compact, carries like a dream and shoots extremely well. The trigger is good. Not great, but good.

My girl also carries one. She asked for an Apex trigger for Christmas. I'll be installing it this weekend.

Gratuitous Shield pic :)

I got my 9mm Shield new on a special sale at Dawsonville Gun and Pawn for $299. It's a great single stack 9 and I have never had a failure after 300 rounds or so. I did install the Apex trigger kit in it myself, it made the trigger a little lighter, but not earth changing. It was a pain in the ass to install compared to doing many trigger upgrades to my Glocks. It feels better in the hand than the Glock 43 and I was nervous about buying the Glock after having problems with my Glock 42. I put on a Talon rubber texture grip wrap and it feels even better.
Great choice, lots of accessories, you can't go wrong.

Not too shaby, but got rid of mine as i cannot drop the slide with my thumb. Mags feel super cheap and trigger guard area is much larger than an XD and not really needed. Goes bang every time other than that.

I've got a Shield (9mm, no safety version), and it's been 100% reliable. I have a Glock 43, as well, and if I had to choose just one, I slightly prefer the 43.

But, all things considered. Price, capacity, dependability, reliability, the Shield is very hard to beat. You certainly can't go wrong with one.

Love mine, my lil brother bought the xds single and they are almost identical in size ,the shield is smooth in feel as the xds is not . I have had a couple failures to feed but i only shoot steel case cheap OOO and have that issue with all steel case in my pistols ...over all a great pistol ..

Lookin' good but would like details - distance, standing, sitting, lounging, sand bags, two hands, one hand. horseback etc. :p Thanks

We shoot the Haley target at 3 yards, standing, unsupported, untimed slow fire, limit one round per circle, 16 rounds total, 40 points possible.

It is an exercise in precision. Shoot it a few times and a 6" circle at 7 yards looks like the side of a barn. :)
