Tennessee "decriminalizes" firearm silencers

Repealing a state law doesn't mean much when nearly all of the prosecutions for violations are based on federal law , prosecuted by US attorneys, in the federal District court system.

Most discovery of federal infractions are surfaced by local enforcement. If Sheriff Buford T Justice doesn't report it, the feds will never know.

For what it's worth, Georgios definition of a machine gun is one that fires more than SIX shots per single function of the trigger.
Does that mean we can have three round burst trigger groups under Georgia law? Sure it does! But Georgia law doesn't mean diddly squat when the feds come after you.
Georgia law also exempts leo's at the federal, state and local level from the NFA requirement to register a machinegun, SBR and SBS with the feds before possession.

No matter what state law says, I don't own a single non registered NFA item......bet the OP doesn't either.

Liberals states ignore federal laws all the time. Of course, the law doesn't apply to them.
Wish some red state governors would have the guts to decide they aren't going to enforce or comply with federal EEO laws, firearm laws (they won't report any fed violations to ATF or assist with any requests), voting laws, state welfare/food stamp payments, etc. since states like Colorado, Washington, etc. aren't required to comply with federal drug law and many others have sanctuary cities.
