Tent Camping Along The Gulf Coast

I have a Camper and camp a lot. Any trip to a state park that will include a weekend better be booked far in advance. People are booking 11 mos in advance and paying 17.00 to cancel if they don't use it. I have already booked the week after Thanksgiving and could not get the day after. FYI
Yeah, after looking around at camp sites, it seems they are booked solid for the days we want to go. My buddy and I decided to get a hotel for a few days and take the kayaks to Pensacola.

Thanks everybody for recommending campsites along the Gulf Coast. Now I know that I need to plan well ahead if I want to get a campsite. Looks like you have to plan a year out?

I want to know about your kayaks.....
I have a Native Slayer 14.5

My buddy has a 12.5 Wahoo

The fun part will be getting the Kayaks there. Lots of tie downs, lol

I'm trying to get away this weekend or the next to Becks lake behind Pensacola on the Escambia river. Never been before, just a random place I've found to go, I'll post back if it's possibly worth visiting for a bayou'ish fishing day to mix it up a bit while you're in the area.
