If he does side work it should be cheaper I would guess living in Georgia the need for back up heat is pretty insignificant as the heat pumps we install run all the way down to 27 f

I think the date on the unit is '86, the reversing valve is shot on the heat pump......

I'll predict there are going to be some guns for sail soon......
