It was a very powerful video, that terribly saddened me.
Saddened by the terrible loss of lives on both sides, saddened by the loss of the way of life for the Indians, AND also saddened by the fact that this was never mentioned in our school history books, that only presented 'The Accepted Propaganda' of the leftists.
Once upon a time when they actually taught history in school we studied this battle, the causes and the ramifications that followed.
I do not recall it ever being in our books, circa late 1940s and early 1950s.
The "famous Indian fighter" Samuel Dale was supposedly the first man over the wall. The Creek were tough cookies.
I learned about this growing up near Fort Rucker, AL. Dale County.

Was in our history books, went to the battle site on a school trip many years ago. I think the site is still open. Got to see it to believe it.
Used to make fishing trips there when I was kid.
Obviously, our Hoosier History, did not include this, at any level !

My grandparents lived close to that place. Have driven by many times and only stopped once to take a look around. Ole Hickory defeated the Creeks was about all I knew of it. Thanks for the post
