I have 2 universal's.
The function well with 15 rd mags.
But 30 round are hit or miss. Sometimes they run and other times I have to push 3 or 4 times the bolt to make them feed.
I decided to change the springs and checked Wolff site and the tune up kits are sold out. I was lucky because I happened to find a site that said the universals use a duel recoil spring.
I went on and found Ebay that had 6 in stock and I ordered 2 for 17.00 each.
Most likely it's the mags since 15 rd are reliable. Time will tell.

USGI in decent shape starts at $1100. Those with early features and not through the re arsenal process are $1600 plus. Winchesters bring a premium, and of course a Pederson is a mint. The Commercial Controls is unobtanium with less than 250 produced.

Yeah guilty as charged but it’s because I have a few that I’m planning to sell. It’ll be interesting to see if these imports and the classic firearms “rebuilds” will drive prices up or down

Yep I'm in. My uncle carried one throughout the war as a scout in Patton's 3rd Army. I've always wanted an authentic M1 carbine.

I'm not too picky, but would love a Rock-Ola. A jukebox company that made M1 carbines is just too cool. It is a bucket lister for me.
