the comcast death rattle

I could care less what their political affiliation is. They offer products that are far superior to many of their competitors. I run multiple business on their platforms.
and they run their business of collecting data on your business

if you are ok with that, then cool. i myself, not being a business, would rather not have that happen
 
not in most cases

most cases it is comcasts intentional dishonest practice, especially when it comes to their billing and customer service departments

the service department promises one thing, the billing does the other. you have to constantly check what you are being billed for. they will lie too, i had to cal them out on what an "equipment rental fee is" and to this date i have not gotten an explanation other than "well, its a fee we felt like adding to the bill"

yeah they were charging me to rent an internet modem when i have my own...

i asked them what it was

their reply: "it is equipment we upgraded on our end to better serve all comcast customers with, there is no actual equipment being rented to you"

so my reply "what the ****, are you people serious? do you think i have chump tattood on my forhead er something? that isnt an equipment fee, its a service fee and since it is any increase should come through an agreed contracted rate, not as an after the fact, frivolous add on"

i finally got to someone who admitted it isn't their equipment, got full refund plus $10 off per month for 6 months :)

Props to you for being able to decipher the Tagalog they try to pass off as English. That's probably one of the main culprits of the ridiculous call times I always experienced with them. Once again, loud and proud...**** Comcast.
 
The cable companies piss me off....

Back in the 70s, when cable was first strung up, they talked congress into granting local monopolies-to give them a chance to pay off their investment. That investment has long since paid back-but these companies just love to keep jacking up rates and sticking it to consumers every way they can dream up.

Horrible business model-created entirely by dirty politicians.
